How to adjust your glasses
Too loose - Specs feel loose
For wire (metal) frame glasses
Use a hair dryer for 30 seconds to heat the part of the frame that goes over your ear. This part of the frame will soften. Bend the arm slightly (with gentle pressure) downwards to make it sit closer to your ear. This will give a snug fit.
For plastic/acetate glasses
Use the same technique as for wire frame glasses.
Bridge too wide - Specs sitting too low on your nose
For wireframe glasses
With gentle pressure, push the nose pads inwards until they fit comfortably.
For plastic/acetate glasses
With a hair dryer, heat (30sec) over the bridge area and then bend the nose pieces inwards slowly until they fit comfortably on the bridge.
Unbalanced - One lens is higher than the other
The left lens is higher than the right lens
With gentle pressure, push the nose pads inwards until they fit comfortably.
The right lens is higher than the left lens
In this case, bend the left arm of your frames down gently at the hinge or at the bend that follows your ear. Bend the arm down where it feels easiest to do so. (Before adjusting, use your hair dryer to heat the arm for approx 30 sec).
Arms are too tight over the ear - for wire (metal) frame glasses
Use a hair dryer for 30 seconds to heat the part of the frame that goes over your ear. This part of the frame will soften. Bend the arm slightly (with gentle pressure) upwards to make it sit away from your ear. This will loosen the fit.

Too tight - The bridge is pinching your nose
