What glasses suit me? MAS
We often ask ourselves, which glasses suit me? The choice can be endless. Choosing the right pair of glasses that suit you is important, to give you the best possible vision as well as choosing specs that look and feel good on you.
Below we have a guide that can help (should you need it) to determine what face shape you are to help pick out the perfect pair of glasses that suit you. A great way to know your face shape is by taking a photo of yourself, by directly facing the camera and then use some tracing paper - outline the edge of your face to work out your face shape. Or just look in the mirror directly and look carefully for the outline of your face.
Oval Face Shape?
Oval faces like our model Mia should be able to pull off most if not all frame shapes. Oval face shape represents a shape of an egg, giving that curved jawline.
Recommended: Try any frame shape
Famous oval faces may include.
Emma Watson, Kirsten Dunst, Jennifer Lawrence, Jude Law, Kiefer Sutherland.
Round or Circular Face Shape?
Facial features with generous cheeks and full rounded cheekbones. Usually are as wide as they are tall.
Angular frames look great. Taj is wearing Alessandro Sir O'Ryan. Strong lines on the frames will balance your cheekbones and jawline. Rectangle frames would work well. Also Wayfarer or square frames.
Round or frames that are too small tend to accentuate the roundness of the face.
Famous round faces may include...
Hayden Panettiere, Emma Stone, Julia Stiles, Cameron Diaz, Jack Black, James Cordon, Gerard Butler, Leonardo Dicaprio.
Square Face Shape?
Square jawline that's almost as wide as it is long.
Round or oval frames lengthen the face and soften the lantern jaw. If you want a rectangle pair, softer edges look great. Dan is wearing Blake.
Too sharp frames tend to highlight the squareness of the face.
Famous square faces may include...
Olivia Wilde, Jessica Alba, Gwyneth Paltrow, Anna Gun, Claire Danes, Johnny Depp, Ben Affleck, David Beckham, Robert Pattinson.
Longer Rectangle Face Shape?
Longer than it is a wide face, with high cheekbones.
Larger frames look great and will suit longer rectangular face shape. A larger deeper frame breaks up the length of the face. The extra width to the frames gives the illusion of extra face width. This creates a balanced look. Our Model, Nacho is wearing rectangular frame Leroy, while Andrea is wearing wide cat eye frame Booker in havana colour.
Famous rectangular faces may include...
Katie Holmes, Keira Knightley, Sandra Bullock, Natalie Portman, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Heart or Triangle Face Shape?
Heart or Triangle face with a broad forehead and cheekbones tapered to a small chin.
Square glasses, Rectangle glasses or Wayfarer glasses look great.
Famous heart or triangular faces may include...
Miley Cyrus, Scarlett Johansson, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, Jessie J, Ryan Gosling, Ryan Reynolds, George Clooney. Will Smith.
Diamond shaped face?
Characteristics including narrow at the eye line and jawline, and broad cheekbones.
Highlight the eyes and soften the cheekbones; so look for top-heavy frames; semi-rimless frames, cat eye frames look great. Our model, Tamara is wearing glasses from our Cat Eye range.
