Paul Smith collection

One day in 1963, seventeen year old Paul Smith fell off his bicycle, injuring himself so badly that he had to abandon his dream of becoming a professional racing cyclist. During his six month convalescence in hospital, he made friends with some local art students who turned him on to the creative potential for tailoring. When he recovered, he started taking evening classes in tailoring, and soon developed his signature ‘English classics with a twist’ style which is his hallmark to this day. Like his clothes, Paul Smith frames combine traditional elegance with a subtle touch of flair.
